• January 4th Turn 10 producers of the award winning franchise Forza Motorsport recognise VRA as an upcoming Sim racing & eSport provider. In doing so they grant affiliate status to the association providing further promotional opportunities for the championships already working with us.
  • In May VRA hosts the first round of the Porsche GT3 Cup supporting the Carrera Cup GB, Porsche Supercup & Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East. The series gains full technical & promotional support from Porsche GB, while 2016 & 2017 Carrera cup GB champion Dan Cammish joins the series setting an official lap record for Brands Hatch Indy of 50.438.
  • Team Parker Racing & IN2Racing endorse the VRA logo as part of their cars sponsorship for the Silverstone & Brands hatch grand prix rounds of the Carrera Cup GB season finale. Team Parker Racing is crowned Porsche GT3 cup team’s champions & presented with the first recognised championship title to be presented to recognized motorsport team competing in both the official series & online championship.
  •  In June the VRA plays host to the Silverstone 12 hours supporting both Britcar & three charity’s showcasing the charity work under taken by Crohns & colitis Uk, British lung foundation & Macmillan game, the event reaches over 600+ individuals over social media while its coverage is once again supported by Twitch TV.
  • VRA establishes the “British Motorsport Series of the Year” award recognising the best organised series in the UK that illustrates great on track racing but also show casing how it supports those involved with the series. The award is presented to The Carrera Cup GB at Brands Hatch recognising the efforts made by them throughout 2017.
  • With the announcement that Slidesports Race Engineering is to compete in both the COTA 24 Hours & Gulf 12 Hours VRA becomes affiliated with the team for their campaign running the VRA logo on the car. The team goes on to take home a 3rd in class for both events, while VRA provides social media coverage of the events.
